Messier 102
M102 is one of the most recent additions, or corrections, to the Messier Catalog.
Due to some sloppy book keeping, this was considered a duplicate entry for Messier 101 up until 2017 when Nasa identified that galaxy NGC 5866 was the most likely candidate Messier was trying to identify.
