Polar aligning my mount used to take forever. Two purchases have had the greatest impact on speed-to-imaging… my observatory and my QHY Polemaster.
The Polemaster is a small camera that sits on the front of the mount. Assuming your mount is correctly polar aligned, the camera picks up Polaris and several nearby stars. Simply adjust the mount to ensure the stars match the pattern, and you’ll have incredibly accurate polar alignment!
