Messier 51 – The Whirlpool Galaxy

I haven’t visited M51 with my SCT (which clearly needs collimation) in almost 2 years. And after losing my observatory rig due to unfortunate frost, it’s been a few weeks of failed attempts to get my old laptop up and running properly.

But finally, clouds & tech worked for a whole 30 minutes last night for a quick shot of this bright galaxy… kicking off my 2020 Galaxy Season!
